The last time I went to the British GP was ten years ago, I was breaking the news that I was going to be a father to my father and sister and we got tickets in one of the granstands, Stowe I think. It's more expensive now with general admission. However much I like it I can't justify the cost anymore

tyre temps are shown on the fucking steering wheel...it's simple to prove - show onboard for Russell and Hamilton and if Hamilton's are 2-3c lower than Russell's for the same tyre temp/time period, then Mercedes is lying.

Nothing to do with the cost of seeing F1

The margins have got so tight and the reality is tyres can only be manufactured to a tolerance window. So each set of the same tyre are never exactly the same. Do the teams decide which driver gets which set having checked to see which are the softest softs etc?

The Formula 1 prices in UK are crazy. UK f1 is mental. Even Sky prices are crazy. So not paying them anything 😂

1:14 it’s the dynamic pricing. It went up ridiculously last year within minutes it was going up £50 per ticket, whilst the website was crashing like crazy. We had 4 grandstand tickets in our basket and they went up £50 per ticket between clicking to checkout and us paying 3 minutes later! We got no response when we emailed them about this and have decided not to go back. We weren’t the only ones. Silverstone are suffering from how they’ve treated customers in the past. Personally, if I were Mercedes I'd take Sainz for 2 years, put Antonelli in Williams to get experience (JV would probably be a better TP for a young driver to start with) and if Max becomes available, dump Woody. As for the front wing, RB always project what they do onto other teams. Don't believe their BS.

Well driving for an up and coming team is exciting. Your inference, comment on Williams is disrespectful to the whole team, in my opinion.

This is highly disappointing of Hamilton and Mercedes, taking your issues outside the team in to the public , social domain. This is so un professional by both parties. I have lost what respect I had for the team and management. Was is sad that their performance and behavior is disrespectful to the work force.

Far cheaper to fly to Canada or Mexico or maybe even Brazil and see a race than pay the US prices. Austin is the lowest cost and its outta this world.

My wife was going to surprise me with tickets for Silverstone last year until she worked out how much it would cost just for two days, fuel costs and hotel plus two days watching practice and the race came to over £1500 which is pricey to the average person. It’s not just the tickets for F1 it’s everything else on top that just makes it too dam expensive, I haven’t been to a F1 race since the days when Mansel was driving for Williams I just can’t afford it like most people.

The last F1 race I saw was Istanbul, for roughly the same cost as the Silverstone weekend tix I had a weeks holiday in Europe too; flew from UK to Bulgaria for 3 nights in a hostel, caught overnight sleeper train to Istanbul, 3 nights in Istanbul hostel with weekend tickets for the F1 and flight home via Italy. That was in 2011 and the Silverstone ticket prices have gone up even more since...they need to make it more accessible for the fans and price reasonably or face continued drops in numbers and ticket sales.

Hamilton knows what he's talking about; he's a technician in the F1 cockpit. Russell is simply a competent driver, nothing special. Newey...I am waiting to hear "his" thoughts on his future plans. I hope they're with Ferrari. Being at an F1 race event is great, but my TV/DVR is comfortable and convenient. Besides, I'm getting older, and it's work attending an F1 race.

I love F1. There is no point watching if one driver and car are guaranteed to win unless the car breaks.
